Vuyani Wakaba Performing With The Sing To Live Community Chorus At The Music Institute of Chicago

Over the past few years, Vuyani has frequently been requested to perform with the Sing To Live Community Chorus under the direction of Wilbert O. Watkins, Ph.D.  This choir was founded by Melinda Pollack-Harris, a breast cancer survivor, and it is made up of breast cancer survivors or their relatives and friends.  It's aim is to raise the spirits of those who are fighting breast cancer, as well as to raise funds to bring the gift of music to the breast cancer community.

Sing To Live Community Chorus is one of the premier choirs in Chicago.  It's director is a phenomenal talent with a very strong music education pedigree.  Joan Hutchinson, the choir's accompanyist, is an amazingly gifted and experienced pianist with international experience and training.

Sing To Live often performs concerts that are thematic in nature.  For example, a concert might include songs from the Americas, songs that honor women composers or songs the celebrate the importance of music in our lives.  This is a dedicated choir with a focused leader.  The result is shown by the standing ovations after each concert.  Please take the time to visit Sing To Live's website and give a donation - you'll be glad you did!
